PBAF
SIGNATURE is proud to be a member of the Partnership for Biodiversity Accounting Financials - an industry-led partnership facilitating the financial industry to transparently asses and disclose their impact and dependency on biodiversity. There is a growing awareness among financial institutions that impacts and dependencies on biodiversity play an important role, both from a risk and from an opportunity perspective. Economic sectors invested in impact on biodiversity and depend on the ecosystem services nature provides. These services are increasingly at risk as a result of the loss of biodiversity. Through their investments, financial institutions can play an important role in the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, contributing not only to the biodiversity targets of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), but also to the reduction of investment risks. For financial institutions to take up this role, the availability of science based, reliable data on the impacts on biodiversity is an important precondition.
The GFFN (Good Food Finance Network)
SIGNATURE is a High Ambition Leader of the Good Food Finance Network and a member of the GFFN Metrics Catalyst Group. The GFFN is a network of high-level leaders, technical experts and agropreneurs from finance, business and public sector combining their resources and intellectual capital to promote investment and provide finance solutions for sustainable food systems. GFFN drives change in both food systems and finance systems.
TNFD
SIGNATURE is a member of the TNFD Forum and currently developing a pilot in order to be able to provide meaningful feedback on the beta version of the TNFD ‘Nature-Related Risk & Opportunity Management and Disclosure Framework’. The TNFD’s mission is to develop and deliver a risk management and disclosure framework for organisations to report and act on evolving nature-related risks, with the ultimate aim of supporting a shift in global financial flows away from nature-negative outcomes and toward nature-positive outcomes.
