Who we are 

Signature Agri Investments is a leading investor in agricultural assets and enterprises, with the mission to fight food insecurity, create climate resilience, and transform communities and economies. We are a small team of professionals consisting of investment managers, agronomy specialists, ESG/impact specialists and (finance) back-office staff. From our headquarters in The Hague (The Netherlands), we manage our projects on the African continent and travel there regularly.

What we offer 

We offer meaningful internships and thesis projects with the possibility of securing a permanent position with us after successful completion. Your position at Signature will provide you with a 360-degree view of commercial agricultural projects in Africa, from project development to implementation to management, incorporating technical, financial and sustainability considerations. You will work in an international environment with informal communication among the team. We have flat organizational structure that offer plenty of room for independent work and implementation of your ideas to create the agriculture of tomorrow. Depending on your position with us, you may have the opportunity to work from one of our sites in Africa. 

What are we looking for? 

  • Master students or recent graduates 

  • Technical background in a field related to sustainable agriculture, forest and nature conservation and restoration 

  • International orientation and willingness to travel 

  • Passionate and adventurous new colleagues

The role(s) 

The type of role available will depend on your study focus area, but could include the following: 

  • Embedding in the investment team & becoming involved in how to most efficiently finance agricultural developments; 

  • Embedding in the ESG & impact team & working on how to maximise the positive (& minimize the negative) impacts associated with agriculture in the developing world; 

  • Developing specific impact projects, such as climate mitigation/adaptation projects, regenerative agriculture integration, smallholder projects; 

  • Trialing new varieties, inputs, methodologies or technologies on farms; 

  • Trialing new portfolio agronomic management approaches 

  • Working with a team to determine the economic drivers of agricultural property performance 

  • Conducting viability studies and agricultural property valuations related to a present or potential agricultural investment, in a dynamic and inspiring environment. 

  • Under the supervision of Senior Management, the post graduates can be exposed to: 

  • Investment analyses

  • Soil and biological asset evaluations.
