Kakulu - Zambia

Retouched.png

Formerly a tobacco estate, Kakulu was converted into a row crop farm growing wheat, soya, and seed maize.

Kakulu is a commercial farm of 2,100 ha located in Kapiri Mposhi, in the Central Province of Zambia. The farm has water rights and capacity for up to 600 ha of irrigated cropland.

The farm has 460 ha under pivot irrigation and 280 ha of dryland and presents an opportunity for adopting regenerative agri practices through low-till farming.

This investment was completed in 2018 and is managed under the Old Mutual African Agricultural Fund (OMAAF).
